See how QR Inventory tracks stock, tools, and equipment
Follow the core QR Inventory job: identify stock, tools, or equipment; scan the item and location; record a receive, issue, transfer, or other configured transaction; then review the updated record in the web system.
Start with the stock, tool, or equipment record
This QR Inventory product resource follows the basic job from the warehouse to a service van or job site and back to office review. First, define the inventory items, tools, equipment, assets, and locations the team needs to identify.
Each configured record can carry the item ID, description, unit, location, quantity or status, and other job fields the business needs. Labels and scans connect the worker to the available record; they do not determine whether the physical item or entered quantity is correct.
- 01Define the recordsSet up available items, tools, equipment, assets, locations, and job fields.
- 02Identify and scanScan the item and location or choose an available record in the mobile app.
- 03Record the jobEnter a receiving, issue, transfer, count, status, or other configured workflow.
- 04Submit the transactionSend the quantity, movement, status, and available job details to the central record.
- 05Review in the officeCheck the latest record, location, available history, and follow-up.
Receive, issue, and transfer inventory in the warehouse
For receiving, a worker identifies the item and receiving location, enters the quantity and required details, and submits the transaction. For an issue, the worker records what left stock and where it went. A transfer records movement between available locations.
The scan identifies the available item, asset, location, pallet, or transaction input. The worker still checks the physical material and records the quantity, movement, status, or other details required by the configured workflow.
Keep the same records moving through a service van and job site
A service van can be a configured stock location for parts and tools. A job site, customer site, equipment room, or crew can also be used as an available destination when that matches the operating process.
A field technician can scan an item and the available location, then record an issue, transfer, use, return, status change, or another configured transaction. If a connection is unavailable, confirm which mobile work can be saved and synchronized later for the planned setup.

- DOffice recordReview the submitted transaction, quantity or status, location, and history.
Review the submitted record and investigate gaps
After submission, authorized office staff can review the updated item, location, quantity or status, and available transaction history. Reports and dashboards can help staff find missing material, unexpected movement, low stock, overdue returns, or other records that need a closer look.
The system reflects what the configured scans, entries, BLE detections, and integrations report. A good result still depends on clear labels, practical transaction steps, trained workers, correct entries, and regular checks against the physical stock and equipment.
